Plantation Barbados 5y - The opening round of noses is all about pastry fragrances, but also pipe tobacco, toasted marshmallow; secondary puffs after further aeration reveal bacon fat, black raisins, prunes. On the palate the entrance is sweet and sour, roasted; the mid-palate is pleasantly toasted, almost fruity, as in baked orchard fruits, and resinous. Medium-long, chocolatey finish.
